Project Name: UC Santa Cruz Digital Arts Facility
Project Type: Structural Steel, Deck, and Stairs
Location: Santa Cruz, CA
General Contractor: DPR Construction
Description: The UC Santa Cruz Digital Arts Facility is a three-story, 24,000 square-foot building
with a two-story media lab and other research labs. It was made with a buckling restrained brace system
to flex not buckle during a seismic event. The building also shows a stainless steel tri-pyramid
rod truss system and an 80-foot long steel pedestrian bridge.
